Honoring a Legacy

Before we owned the Bedford Village Flower Shoppe we were regular customers. Anthony often bought me flowers, and he knew that The Bedford Village Flower Shoppe made my favorite arrangements. That meant that in 2016 when planning our wedding, the only place we even considered hiring to design our flowers was The Bedford Village Flower Shoppe, and of course, they did an incredible job! I began working at the shop part time, and after just a few weeks was honored to find out that the previous owner was planning to sell the business and thought we would be a good fit to continue its wonderful legacy. With my background in horticulture and Anthony’s dream of owning a business, it felt meant to be. So in November 2016 we became the new owners of The Bedford Village Flower Shoppe.

Lauren Chillemi

The creative heart of our business, Lauren is a Master Floral Designer with a degree in horticulture from the New York Botanical Garden School of professional Horticulture. With experience working for small floral shops, large arborists, and owning her own container and vegetable garden design service, Lauren’s artistry, style and technical expertise combine to make The Bedford Village Flower Shoppe truly one-of-a-kind.

Owner & Business Manager

Anthony Chillemi

With a love of business and all of its intricacies, Anthony manages the business side of Bedford Village Flower Shoppe. After working his way up from residential sales associate to Vice President of the commercial department at a franchise painting company, he gained first-hand knowledge and experience that made him excited to lead a company of his own. Working alongside his wife, Lauren, Anthony manages the business development, finances, marketing, customer service and staff at Bedford Village Flower Shoppe.

What wonderful people Lauren and Anthony are!!! Shortly after I met them, I ordered a bouquet of flowers as a gift for someone close to me. I was literally blown away not only by the quality of flowers, but also from Lauren’s arrangement. We called upon them again for more gifts, and there was no question that we would hire them to do the floral arrangements for my daughter's recent Bat Mitzvah. These were the most gorgeous flowers, arrangements, and boxes that we have ever seen. They are still in our house almost a week later and look just as good as the day they were delivered. I can’t say enough good things about them. They deliver the highest quality of product and service!
